A native of Western Washington, I live on 5 acres a few miles west of Olympia with my wife, two bright and beautiful daughters, 3 rescued dogs, 1 cat, and 3 fishies.

My oldest girl has been diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome and I encourage everyone to learn about autism-spectrum disorders (see links below).  A lot can be learned from their unique perspective on the world.

One thing I have learned from my daughter is the value of keeping things simple.  It can be physically and emotionally draining when we make things more complicated than they need to be.
